Hammermill Library

If you are looking for a specific article--meaning that you know the title of the article you need--you can search for it using the Search Everything Box on our homepage.

Use quotation marks around the title. Click "Search" and if we have the article you are looking for in our collection, you should see it appear on the results list with information about whether it is available electronically or in print.

If you know the title of the journal where your article is published, you can also use the Journals link on our homepage to search for your journal and then search or browse for your article within that journal (depending upon availability).

If you are looking for an article on a topic you are researching there are several places you can search:

You can use the Journal link on our homepage to search for a journal by title or browse journals by subject, and then search for your topic within a journal online.

You can also using the Find Databases link off our homepage to access the list of databases we have and search within them for an article on your topic. Some databases cover a lot of topics, while others are very subject specific. Use the description under each database to determine if that database is right for your research.

You can also use the Find Everything box on our homepage to find articles, although please note that the Hurst Search will bring back both articles as well as books, ebooks, DVDs, and other material types (unless you narrow your search to articles only on the results page).

If you are still struggling to find an article, please ask for help at the circulation desk or use the Ask A Librarian page for assistance.

Ridge Library
