Where can I find mathematics or computer science journals?
You can search for mathematics or computer science journals by using the Journals link on our library homepage. The "Journals" link allows you to search for journals by title, subject, association, or ISSN:
You can type in the title of a mathematics or computer science journal, use the subject tabe to search for a subject like "computer science" or something more specific like "HTML5". You can also search here by association (e.i. Mathematical Association of America) or by ISSN.
Another option is to browse by title using the A-Z list provided on the page or to browse journals by subject by using the Browse: Subject link at the top of the page. This will take you to a list of topic and subtopics which will lead you to a list of journals we have on the topic you chose.
Once you find a journal you'll see the location and availablity of each journal listed under the title:
The location will tell you if it's available in print (Mercyhurst Print Journals) somewhere physically in the library or if it's available online via a database (e.g. Academic Search Complete). If you click on the location, it will tell you where exactly it's located in the library or into the database where you can access it online. The dates next to each location tell you what dates we have access to this journal. If you have any questions about where a journal is located or what access we have to a journal, use the Ask A Librarian link or ask for help at the circulation desk.
Ridge Library users can access the same tools but instead of clicking on a link from the homepage, users can use the dropdown "Find an Article or Journal" and select the "Journal List" to access the Journals search/browse area:
