Hello , I'm having a difficult time finding information on nontraditional students for which I am suppose to write a paper on different topics of what might motivate them. is there a specific place I should look for this information in the library or a specific wording to use? I would appreciate any help seeing I have tried numerous phrases trying to find articles and what not. Thank you very much for any help.

Hi,

You can try a number of library databases for this topic. Try EBSCO E-books at http://eds.a.ebscohost.com/ehost/search/basic?sid=a247b2f3-ca2f-4600-904a-65457b37ac17@sessionmgr4003&vid=0&tid=2003EB

After that, I would try searching JSTOR (http://www.jstor.org/action/showBasicSearch) and Sage Premier (http://online.sagepub.com/).

I would start by entering the terms "motivation" OR "motivational factors" AND "nontraditional students" in these searches. Bracket terms of more than one word in "quotation marks." From there, look to the major subject headings in search results for more ideas on search terms.

If you continue to have difficulty you can make an appointment with a librarian for reference assistance by calling 814-824-3305. Please leave a message if no one answers.
