Q. How do I place a hold on a book?


To place a hold, find the book in the catalog and click on "Request." You will be prompted to log in with your name and password and from there you can request that the book be sent to whichever campus library you need.

Holds may be placed on items:

  • That are currently checked out (when it is returned you will be notified by email)

  • On an item that's located at the North East Campus' Ridge library (or the Hammermill Library if you're a Ridge Library user) and it will be sent to the Hammermill Library (or Ridge Library) for you

  • From home (so it doesn't get checked out by anyone else before you get to the library)
