Q. Where can I find help writing an outline?

If you need help writing an outline, there are several resources available at the library to help you:

One resource is our Research Help and Information Literacy page. On this page you will find all sort of information to help you in the research process, including a page on Writing your Paper/Presentation. On the Writing your Paper/Presentation page there are several links to external sites that can help you write an outline including the OWL at Purdue University, Harvard University's Student Writing Guides, and more.

The library also has several print resources that can help you write an outline. You can find these resources by searching our Catalog or the Hurst Search. Some titles that may help you include: "MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers", "Preparing Literature Reviews: Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches", and "Essential Study Skills".

If you still need assistance or want to get one-on-one help, visit us at the library or use the Ask A Librarian link to get help from a librarian. You can also contact the Peer Tutoring Center or the Writing Center for more help (both are located on the main level of Hammermill Library).
